NL LAW 1-3 DL9 Kiltunnel - Numansdorp

The Floris V-path is a Long Distance Footpath in the Netherlands. By the Dutch LDF organisation it is designated LAW 1-3. It is the Dutch part of the LDF Paris - Amsterdam.

Dordrecht - In the early Middle ages Dordrecht was founded as a ford (drecht) on the river Thure. This is probably the origin of the name Dordrecht which is the oldest port in Holland. And still today Dordrecht is situated at one of the busiest river connections in Europe. It is worthwhile to leave the route and visit the town and its harbor. Courtyards, museums, the Cathedral and many other monuments are proof of a fascinating past.

This route is part of the Floris V-path, which stretches from Amsterdam to Bergen op Zoom over 245 kilometres. This part leads from the Kiltunnel near Dordrecht to a busstop in Numansdorp. It was part of a 3-day hiking trip made in February 2014. I altered the official route to match it with my specific needs. The changes are minimal. 

Be aware that some parts of this route can be extremely wet due to rising water levels in the rivers. Make sure you have appropriate shoes to deal with those conditions.
