This hike takes you through pine forest and loops around the Bötzsee. Family friendly hike with food and ice cream stops along the way.

This is an easy hike that is mainly dirt path around the lake and a section of road with sidewalk along the south side. The lake is quite clear typically and the area is full of wildlife making it a fun hike for small children. There are a couple restaurants on the south side of the lake that have good food and sometimes the Seeschloss hotel ice cream shop is open as well. There is also a beach if you choose to go that route but plenty of people just jump in at one of the many bank clearings.
