Slecht weer activiteit in Groenland

The hostel is nestled at the foot of a mountain with a view of the fjord. It is only about 600 m from the airport in the direction of the Hospital Valley and Flower Valley.

The hostel with around 34 berths is located in the middle of the charming sheep farm settlement of Qassiarsuk / Brattahlid, which was founded by Erik The Red aound 1,000 AD

Norsemen/Vikings immigrated to South Greenland from Iceland at the end of 900 AD. Brattahlid (Qassiarsuk) is a settlement that famous viking Eric The Red founded. 

Small hut with a small cooking area and a sleeping platform for 3 people (3 more could sleep underneath in a pinch).

On the far west side of Lake Amitsorsuaq the unmanned 'Canoe Center' is located. It's possible to use the canoes there for free.

Hundesø hut is actually an old caravan with some makeshift sheds attached. It’s probably the least luxurious hut on the trail but can provide a welcome respite. It has 4 bunk beds.

Large hut that is surprisingly spacious and will sleep 6 people in comfort. It's free of charge to use this accommodation by 'first arrive - first served' principle.

Large hut with a spacious kitchen/living area and a separate dormitory with beds for 10 people.

Mid-sized hut with a relatively large cooking and eating area and beds for 4 people. Others could squeeze in on the floor. It is a bit of a walk to get water from this hut.

The Emergency Cabin is set up for extra safety and possible accommodation for hikers on the way between Narsaq and Qassiarsuk.
