The flat-topped plateau of the hill has a summit triangulation pillar and viewpoint with fine panoramas over the surrounding area. 

A limestone rock formation named for its peculiar shape, that of a crooked and twisted chimney rising from the ground. The Devil's Chimney is a local landmark, but its origins are uncertain.

This is the highest section of the Cotswold escarpment at 330 m and the last area of unenclosed land in the region. It covers an area of 3 square miles and is an area of Special Scientific Interest for its flora and fauna. There are panoramic views from the plateau and in good conditions, the Malvern Hills and the Brecon Beacons may be seen in the distance.  

Situated on the western slopes of Cleeve Hill the Cotswold Way passes through the southern section. The reserve has a rich mix of limestone and grassland varieties as well as heathland. It is particularly important for the large varieties of butterflies it supports including some rarities.  

This is a superb viewpoint and a very steep section of the Cotswold escarpment. However, its claim to fame is the annual Cheese Rolling Festival held here at the end of May.
